One basic little freedom

I feel that is where we are these days in our world called earth. We are live from the moon. I mean who could have seen this coming but maybe George Orwell. In the name of what they now call “public freedoms” we are losing freedoms. The constitution, charter of rights, and speech laws are being twisted. They seem about as far away as the moon. Each one, as they fall, leave a moon sized crater. Replaced? No, just a void to be interpreted as we see fit.

            It was brilliant. Don’t take away freedom. Slowly, change freedom. Make it our idea. Make those who oppose aliens from the moon. In the name of freedom, we must limit certain freedoms. Were so smart that we eating it up like moon rock cereal. Kellogg’s couldn’t market this stuff that successfully. Let’s take a land rover through time just a little. A survey of the craters.

            It’s normal to have slaves n the 1700’s. I’m not in favor of slavery, but you can see it coming. It was the norm. Religion was the norm. I suppose brothels, native reserves, and public hangings were the norm. Then some well meaning Christian folk decide that slavery should not be the norm. Good for them. Hanging would be replaced by an electric chair (progress). Brothels and native reserves, na we’ll leave that. The big crater is freedom of man. I totally get it but we left a crater.

            Who is free and how will we ban against being a slave? Oh, we’ll let the society decide. The guideline is all people have the right. In Canada, they came up with rights and freedoms. What was first “rights.” You see, freedoms are subjective. If freedom steps on rights then Houston we have a problem on the moon. It’s not that we should have slaves. It’s not that women should be banned from votes and being a CEO. No, it’s got everything to do with the crater.

            What does God have to say? In reality, God’s world has a dictatorship. People are offended by this bigtime. They say religion is restrictive and not free.  Think dictatorships are dangerous, but history has shown that we make more messes when everyone has rights. It’s a catch 22 I guess. God said we are free but here are ten basic rules. There is an 11^th. Take away the ten and all hell will break loose.

            As, I tried to say in the beginning. Slavery needed to go, but don’t leave a crater. A foundation of freedom needed to be built. Instead we built a foundation of rights. In Canada you do not have the right to free speech. You now do not have the right to make a club or group as you want. You now don’t have the right to talk religion in public. We don’t even have the right to be called male and female.

            On the moon are really big craters. They are surrounded by the fallout of the initial blast. Little craters. We have discovered that over time those little craters get filled in. Covered up. What’s one freedom that infringes on rights? What is a right? It’s anything that offends. You see, we have no definition of freedom. We have no definition of rights. Whoever makes the laws will believe their own thing. They will believe in certain rights. Like the current decision to ban religion in public. The judge said “the rights of the public trump one basic little freedom.
