We only see one
Instead, we have
this ugly monster rearing its head in distain for humankind. The Global
alarmists have taken over. It’s not that they don’t have some truth in their
words. Yet, taxes are going through the roof and I have noticed that corruption
has too. The new tax is the slight of hand tax. For a cause we tax. Main stay
taxes have remained the same. Leaders boast that they have our backs. They do. From
behind they are raising poverty in the name of social agenda.
I am a glorified
tree hugger. I recycle. I defend the Lorax. I try and drive a gas friendly car
(cheaper). I am conscious of my shopping habits. Only recyclable products are bought.
Yet, I am sickened at the pace of tax and policy curbing our country. Business is
the backbone of food on our tables. However, there seems to be a political push
to eradicate business in the name of carbon.
This bubble will
burst. People are gullible but only for so long. If it looks right then try it.
I get that. We should do better in this world. There is just something going
wrong. The men of the past are criticized for being stupid and naive with foreign
powers. Many people have died because of those foolish notions. Hitler could
only go so far. Stalin is just a moment in time. Castro will not last. North
Korea? Small but possibly the lynch pin to new wars. Between carbon taxes and
passive leadership, we are a sick world getting sicker and more stupid.
What does God have
to say? Matthew 24:6 “You will hear of
wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things
must happen, but the end is still to come.”
Here inlays the
problem. Those are creepy words. They are boring words too. There have always
been wars. Big deal. That is humankind in a nut shell. Yet, these days, I fear
I see something. Something horrifying I never saw before. What if humankind
causes their own death. Napoleon was willing to surrender lives for a noble
cause. He felt that if he ruled the world he could bring peace. In a way, the
war to end all wars. I wonder if communism thinks the same way. One ruler to
live lives one way.
It’s kind of
biblical. We have one God. One Jesus. One book. The will be one Christ to save
us all. Maybe within us is the idea that one could do it. In North Korea; one
family, one man, is bringing a country one certain death. In America, one
person is the focus. Good or bad they focus 4 years at a time on the one. In
Russia they regard one: Putin. In the Muslim world they look to one: Allah. It’s
that way all over the world.
I wonder if
humankind is trying to replace the one to rule. Jesus is coming but in the mean
time we will try and make one rule. Maybe to replace God’s choice. I don’t know
but it seems that way. Far too often we put way too much hope in one. In one
leader like Obama. His legacy is God like without ever acting like a God. Look
at the ones in Russia of Stalin and Lenin. How about Colin Kaprinick in NFL football.
I am wondering if in time he will rise as a great black savior. He is the one
focus this year in football. Ironically football is secondary. We love the one.
At the moment we
focus on one global warming. We are willing to be taxed to death for it. Many
are barely making end meet in the name of greenhouse gases. In the meantime,
money is disappearing into thin (toxic) air. Where do our taxes really go? We
don’ really want to know. We focus on Trump. Are we focused on his replacement?
Oh, that does not matter. Our two fingers are going from our eyes to his eyes.
I see you. I see one. I tax in the name of one cause. We focus on one Korea. We
kill in the name of one God. The death of all of us is one in the same as it’s
always been: the one us.
