Distinction on extinction

I was reading an article about extinction in what they call the Holocene era. They (Who are they) say that we are Extincting at an alarming rate. Gee I didn’t know there were periods of extinction. Further to that, I loved the articles because they use words like maybe, perhaps, and possibly. The “They” admit they were not there during these periods millions of years ago, but they sure have a lot of information as if they perhaps were there.
I do believe we humans are dumb enough to kill ourselves off. There has been a larger amount of extinctions in the past 50 years. I am sure the industrial revolution has cause quite a bit of it. There does seem to be a fair bit of the global warming rhetoric still in the news. They can’t really say global warming because the science does not add up (but they believe it). In global warming’s place they are using words like extinction, tar sands, and anything else they can get their articles published on.
Do I disbelieve “They”? Well sort of I guess. I mean the eye test is a good one. We have less snow, less rain, and hot temperatures. We seem to have more floods, terrible snow storms, and cold snaps all over the earth. Are Tsunamis’ and earthquakes caused by the dreaded global Extinction/ warming trends? We seem to have more of those these days too. I find the internet is a great place for information. I get answers faster than ever before. The internet is also great place for lies and deception too. There is way more misinformation out there for us to consume. Who is right?
What does God have to say about extinction? God does not mention Dino’s no matter what some people say. Is the Leviathan in Job a Dino? God does talk about days to come in the book of Revelation. It talks about great wars, monsters, earthquakes, and other disasters. It looks a lot like where we are today does it not? I found that animals and fish are not mentioned in the new heaven. I wonder if creation takes a hit for our human sin in the end of times. I wonder if the Bible might be right on just a few (many) things. Is it more about humans killing the earth or the earth winding down towards the end of times mentioned in the Bible?
In school the teacher talked about accelerated growth in the twentieth century. We have grown and advanced faster than in any other period in history. That includes 5 other extinction periods. The “They” love their charts on timelines marginally growing on a scale and then comes 1901: boom! The graphs take off straight up at almost a 90 degree angle. The best part is the predictions. They say that “If this trend continues.” You could substitute “If” for probably, might, can, and perhaps will continue. I love it that TV has got into the debate with shows like Revolution, Walking dead, Extant, and more. Is the end coming? The signs say yes with the eye test.

The danger in the eye test is time. In my time I have seen drought and snow or floods, and hail. There have been years of more or less mosquitoes and bees. Bees appear to be on the extinction list now. I wish mosquitoes were too. There are gaps in our knowledge. Some of those gaps are a million years in the making. We don’t know everything and will not know everything. Time has a way of changing our minds and thinking on a great many things. For over 4000 years the Bible has said that there will be signs that signal the end of an age. Funny that the non-believing scientists (They) have confirmed this in their recent articles. My distinction on extinction is that the talk is the same poop but in a different pile. Something is going on but by whom or what God only knows.
